Who is Landed?

We are former teachers, organizers, real estate agents, consultants, and investors working together to serve essential professionals. We're on a mission to help education, healthcare, and government employees build financial security.

We founded Landed in 2015 to uphold those who uphold us. In expensive cities, high home prices make it difficult for these individuals to become the long-term residents our communities depend on. If we want stronger schools and safer communities, we need to support those who make it possible.

History of Landed

The first place we tackled was our own backyard, the San Francisco Bay Area, where we created our shared equity down payment program. Since then, we’ve expanded to help essential professionals navigate all of their different options for buying a home in the communities where they work. Because having essential professionals living in the communities they serve is beneficial to all.

Our down payment program is financially supported by organizations like TIAA, Chan Zuckerberg Foundation, and Zoma Capital. Since our founding, we’ve been able to expand our reach across the country.

Note: Due to a temporary unavailability of DPP investment funds, all Landed metro areas are being put on a DPP waitlist effective September 8, 2022. You can read all the details (including FAQs) here if you would like to know more.
